Fr. Robert Rousseau

Reverend Robert Rousseau
Director of Pro-Life Activities
Father Rousseau is Director of Pro-Life Activities for the Archdiocese of Hartford and has been actively involved in pro-life work since 1991 when he found a 3 hour old baby in the entry way to his church. He went on to found Carolyn’s Place in 1992, a pregnancy care center in Waterbury, and continues to serve on its Board. Father attended St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, CT and St. Bernard Seminary in Rochester, NY. He is presently pastor of Holy Family Church in Enfield.

   
Sister Suzanne Gross

Sister Suzanne Gross, FSE
Program Coordinator
Sister Suzanne is a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist. She graduated from Loyola University in Chicago and now holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Hartford and a Masters Degree in Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Since 1987, Sister Suzanne has been the Administrator of Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care and is a past president of the Connecticut Coalition to Improve End-of-Life Care. She presents at various conferences around the United States on end-of-life issues, human suffering, and the culture of life.

   

Mary Lou Peters
Assistant Program Coordinator
Mary Lou graduated from Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart, holds a Masters Degree in History of Art from the University of Massachusetts, and a Post Masters Degree in Theology with a concentration in bioethics from Holy Apostles College & Seminary. Since 2000, Mary Lou has worked for the Pro-Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford and has chaired the 40 Days for Life campaign in Hartford since 2008. She and her husband, David, have two grown children and four grandchildren. Their daughter, Sister Sophia, is a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist and a counselor at the Franciscan Life Center. Mary Lou and David are members of St. Joseph Parish in Poquonock.

   
Marie Laffin

Marie Laffin
Site Leader and Facilitator for Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats
Marie became the Site Leader and Facilitator of Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats on April 1, 2012. She facilitates weekend retreats and monthly support groups for those who have attended retreats. Marie is the Clinical Director of Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care, a faith-based home health agency. She received an Associates Degree in Nursing from Quinnipiac University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Providence College. Marie has two adult children, two grandchildren, and is a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Parish in Wallingford.

   
S Angela Marie

Sister Angela Marie Castellani, FSE
Chastity Education Coordinator and Office Assistant
Sister Angela Marie has been serving in the pro-life ministry since September 2011 and is available to give presentations on human dignity and the importance and meaning of chastity.  Weekly she prepares the context for the Pro-Life Thought of the Week. Sister Angela Marie is a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist. A native of Italy, she earned a Judicial Doctorate and a Master in Law Professions from the University of Perugia, Italy. She also holds a Masters Degree in Theology with a concentration in Morality from Holy Apostles College and Seminary, Cromwell.

   

Janice Hunter
Program Assistant
Janice has worked per diem for the Pro-Life Ministry since 2000 and has helped organize many of the conferences and Masses sponsored by the Ministry. She and her husband, David, raised six children and now have seven grandchildren. The Hunters' daughter, Sister Clare Hunter, a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist, is the Director of the Respect Life Office for the Diocese of Arlington. Janice and her husband, David, are parishioners of Holy Angels Church in Meriden.

   

Laurel Klepacki
Program Assistant
Laurel has worked per diem for the Pro-Life Ministry since 2008, helping to organize various conferences and Masses sponsored by the Pro-Life Ministry. She graduated from Notre Dame College in New Hampshire. She and her husband, Don, are in the home construction business in New England. They have two adult sons. Laurel and Don are parishioners of St. Maurice Church, New Britain.
