40 Days for Life Campaign www.40daysforlife.com
An Opportunity for Life
September 25 – November 3, 2013
Following is a brief overview of how the campaign will be organized in the Archdiocese. The Pro-Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford is organizing the campaign; Mary Lou Peters is Director of the campaign. Further information and organizational details will be distributed to parish leaders of the campaign.
Archbishop Henry J. Mansell has approved the 40 Days for Life campaign in the Archdiocese of Hartford.
The campaign consists of:
24 hours of Eucharistic Adoration in parishes (6:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.) AND
12 hours of prayerful vigil at the Hartford GYN Center (abortion clinic)
(6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.).
Alternative hours are permissible to meet parish needs. See Calendar for Vigil days/times.
It is important for each parish to participate in Adoration and Vigil.
All vigils are prayerful, peaceful and respectful.
This campaign is copyrighted; therefore rules and regulations concerning respectful behavior must be followed.
It will not be the pastors’ responsibility to organize the campaign.
Each parish will register with the Archdiocesan Pro-Life Ministry for a particular date (or dates) on which to hold adoration and vigil.
Each parish will have a leader to coordinate the schedule of those participating in adoration and clinic vigil.
If security is a concern, suggestions to avoid risk will be offered.
The 40 Days for Life campaign is now international and continues to grow. Please join us and others in this historic campaign to end abortion.
